The base system includes a control module, an interface panel and a pair of our ShifterMax laser transceivers. For clients who are concerned about the use of the latest lidar systems like DragonEye, we can add a third ShifterMax transceiver to the front of your vehicle for increased protection.
When the ZR5 detects a signal from a lidar gun, it automatically transmits a signal that confuses the software in the gun and prevents it from taking a reading. You have a few seconds to ensure you are traveling at a legal speed, then you can cancel the signal transmission to let the officer get a reading. Knowing you are legal, you can continue on your merry way.
Radar Detector Integration
The ZR5 system can operate as a stand-alone laser defense solution or be integrated with one of the aforementioned portable radar detectors. Information about laser alerts will be displayed on the screen of the portable detector, and the control module under the dash provides an audible warning at the same time.
